Review | TurBliss Bioactive Face Mask for Problem Skin*

You may remember I shared my first impressions of TurBliss's Bioactive Face Mask for Problem Skin* a month or so ago; now I've been using the mask a little longer, it's time to share some more in-depth thoughts! Here's what the brand says: "Humic and fulvic acids help boost cell renewal and restore normal functioning of the skin. Bioactive humic substances penetrate deep into the skin, regulate sebum production, superficial dryness and clean clogged pores. Geranium improves skin texture, chamomile calms irritated skin, witch hazel alleviates inflammation, humic acids relieve eczema and psoriasis. Efficient purifying treatment against acne and blemishes. Works as a pore minimizer. Accelerates skin metabolism. Makes skin look healthy, smooth and radiant."
We'll skip over my swooning over the pretty jar (I did all that in my first impressions) and get straight down to business; I really like this mask. I've been trying to use it once per week, applying quite a thick layer to dampened skin and leaving it on for ten minutes, making sure not to let it dry by spritzing it every minute or so with a facial spray. There isn't any noticeable sensation while the mask is on my skin - no tingling or anything like that, so it's not uncomfortable. I think we can all agree I look mighty fine covered in black goo!?
I mentioned in my first impressions posts that there's some redness after removal, which you can see on the photo on the right below; by "some redness" I mean really quite significant redness, although it settles down after around an hour or so. This definitely isn't a mask to use right before you go out, though! Once my skin has calmed down again it's left looking clearer, with blackheads and blemishes reduced. I'm not sure about the "pore minimiser" claims (pores are not doors! Just you ask Caroline Hirons) but I do feel like my skin looks smoother and more even in tone, so I'm not complaining.
